Flame retarded resins and other specialty glass and vials are used in a purpose designed vacuum infusion process to make the FRP components lighter and stronger than conventional made components.

When helicopters are not available or cost constraints apply, fixed wing aircraft must be substituted. In-built limitations have governed the effectiveness of conventional fixed wings-particularly due to their front mounted engine and crew placement under or over the wing. Operations at low level increase these limitations.
