Design and Manufacture of Award Winning Dome Roof Designs

Manufacture and Repair of Fibre Reinforced Plastic Components

At Fibreglass Services and Dome Roofing we repair or manufacture FRP Components for the heavy transport companies and passenger vehicles. We repair all FRP parts on trucks: from cherry pickers to cabins, fenders, fan shrouds, and the cold storage on trucks. Our repair service is of great importance to transport companies, electricity suppliers and maintenance groups and we pride ourselves on our guaranteed quality workmanship.
All manufacture, repairs and modifications are done to the specifications required, for example, electrostatic, non conductive to 66 Kv with the appropriate materials and know how. Also structural components are made or repaired to their specific design and tested prior to leaving the shop.

FRP Components for Railways

FRP components for the railways are built, maintained and/or repaired at the workshop, from panels for sound proofing, seating furniture, window frames and various shrouding. These include compressor housing, even signal shrouds and other components.

Industrial uses for Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics

In the industry field, Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics are used to protect, enhance and create difficult light weight products with chemical, temperature and/or fire retardance, if so required. Also food save products are made of some type of FRP.

Here are just some of the applications:
Chemical resistant tanks where other materials would be attacked.
Corrosive or highly alkaline at room to elevated temperatures of up to 96° C or higher depending on the working environment.

High quality food save FRP products are used wherever there is food stuff; i.e. storage, conveying, preparing, etc. At Fibreglass Services we build all manner of food save products from cold storage on trawlers to mixer covers on bakery equipment. FRP offers a great solution for just about all storage or conveyance of food stuff from -50° to +100° C. Fume and dust ducting is also made in FRP for the same reasons.

Sculpting and Casting at FGS Domeroofing

At Fibreglass Services and Dome Roofing, we pride ourselves on artistic sculpting and casting of a whole range of different projects from conception to final installation. We make mostly one offs for the simple reason of originality and the uniqueness of being the only one in the world. Of course, we would do small production runs, if so required, maybe a numbered series which gives better value for the customer and the purchaser.

At FGS we use a variety of synthetic materials and finishes to achieve the desired look; bronze, stone and all other finishes. FRP is a fantastic medium to create a long lasting economical product. We use many methods to achieve the desired outcome; direct build, hand lay up, casting and even vacuum infusion depending on the job at hand.
